Kate Tempest – The storm before the calm.

Hello everyone,

I had the pleasure of talking backstage to Kate Tempest before her performance at a music festival in Toulouse last night. These are the words that came to me to describe what I heard.

Like a well-needed storm to soak the earth with the life giving water it brings, Kate Tempest’s words soak your soul with the words you might at first want to run from and shelter yourself, but after deeply listening to what she is saying you can’t help but open your heart and let the words sink in. Like a child in a tempest letting the water soak their young face with drops from the sky, you are being carried away, brought to a place deep inside you and like the dry earth soaking up the water, you are infused with her wisdom and thoughtfulness. Afterwards you feel calm in knowing someone is out there saying what needs to be said, but doing it with an energy that allows everyone who is captivated in the audience to dance, smile, sing and rejoice in the power that knowledge gives to us all. Thank you Kate for baring your soul to us.

Watch my short interview to get a bit of insight to where Kate’s inspiration comes from.

Hope you enjoy.

Peace, Joe
