On the radio!

Joe the flexitarian!

Joe the flexitarian!

Living locally is something I hold dear to my heart and feel can be an answer to many energy and financial problems now facing us. Can we have a social life within walking or cycling distance of our house? Can our children be fulfilled within the environs of our chosen neighborhoods with their insatiable appetites to learn, dance, play music, and enjoy time with their friends? Can we make a living and not travel hours each day to do so? Can we eat locally grown food and still enjoy exotic foods, yummy tomato sauces on scrummy pizzas, spicy Mexican food, tantalising curries from Thailand and India?

On Monday, February 25th Amie Hall and I will be talking about these issues on FTNS radio focusing mainly on local food and its many implications. Although none of these questions can be answered in an hour, or possibly a lifetime, hopefully with phone-in questions and thoughtful dialogue we can come up with creative ideas together.

Here is the link so no matter where you are you can listen and join in.
